Volunteers needed for Ping! London ...

June 2010

The tables are coming.... the public will play!

Ping! is an innovative three year project that will provide new opportunities for the public to participate in social and competitive Table Tennis free of charge.

ETTA is looking to recruit 75 lead volunteers and approximately 225 helpers to run table tennis activities as part of Ping! London.

Ping! London will take place across the capital between the 24
th July to August 21st 2010. 50 temporary (pop up) tables + approximately 25 permanent tables will be available for the public to play, free of charge in high profile and community London landmark locations.

Bats and balls will be provided for casual, turn up and play, and also some organised activities/competitions delivered by ETTA volunteers.

Activities being planned include: Speed challenges, beat the champ, talent spotting, sudden death tournaments, round the table, Celebrity challenge, table hopping, etc.

ETTA will be approaching clubs, coaches, officials and players to get involved and help.
